Best chilli crab, salted egg salmon skin, and Hokkien mee EVER!!! If you’re thinking of trying this tze char stall — you MUST order these! The si ji dou (four-season beans) were also cooked to perfection — super flavourful with just the right crunch. Don’t be fooled by the humble-looking corner setup — the dishes coming out of this place are seriously next level. I brought a friend visiting from New Zealand, and he loved everything we ordered. I’ve tried the la la soup before too — another bomb dish you have to try! There were only three of us this time, or I would’ve ordered even more. We had 5 dishes in total, including chilli crab, and it only cost about $30+ per pax — who doesn’t love affordable, amazing food!?
Nice food and price was reasonable. Had visited the restaurant a few times. Black pepper crab was delicious, it really brought the heat! (recommended to preorder the crab) we ordered the bigger size crab about 1kg size. The crab is fresh, meaty, and cooked to perfection. The 'Orh Mee' (Black noodle) is a must order too. Topped with pork lard and a raw egg, simply delicious. A dish we always order when we visit. 1st time trying this indo style butter prawn (hopefully I get the name right) The chef added a bit of spice to the dish, making it flavorful, a very unique taste. Truffle tofu, sambar petai, iberico pork are recommended too. Go with a group, having more people means you can try more dishes.
Nice zechar tugged in this corner next to a public housing estate. We ordered their signature fish head curry, the curry was looks very spicy but tasted nice. Friendly staff.
Buzzy place at upper Aljunied for a Zhi char stall. Ordered their Thai Style Chicken, Crab Meat fish maw soup, jade tofu, spring onion sliced pork, Garlic Kai Lan. I would recommend their Thai Style Chicken(sauce put aside) & Jade tofu(it has some sort of Truffle smell to it).
The food was absolutely delicious. We began with the fish skin snack and truffle tofu, both of which were excellent. This was followed by Fujian noodles topped with a raw egg, fried soon hock and a comforting bowl of lala soup perfect for a rainy day. We also enjoyed the 辣子鸡, and the 四季豆 is a must-order dish. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-balanced. The prices were very reasonable, and the overall dining experience was excellent. The coffee shop also features large tables, making it ideal for bigger groups.
